"I initially served as a intern under Dr. Walkington during a whole scale change initiative at Hennepin County Minnesota. As the Strategic Management Coordinator for the second largest unit of government in Minnesota, Dr. Walkington introduced large scale organizational change project using the Balanced Scorecard and Appreciative Inquiry. As Director of Human Resources at the Carlson School of Management I have once again sought out Dr, Walkington expertise in helping me implement the School’s five year strategic initiatives. Building discipline into strategic objectives is difficult at best and almost impossible in turbulent times. Dr. Walkington is currently working with the Carlson School of Management as our chief consultant. Dr. Walkington's is working with the administrative services program and his focus is on helping us build strategic mechanisms that ensures strategic objectives are executed, aligned, and coordinated with other programs.
